Lupo Notte opened September 16 in Green Hills, and the neighborhood has a proper new Italian room to show for it. The restaurant sits at Vertis Green Hills on Richard Jones Road, where its own team describes it as an intimate spot built around handmade pasta, blistered Neapolitan-style pizza and a cocktail program rooted in Italian aperitivo traditions.
The menu leans classic and shareable to start. Lupo meatballs arrive made with ground wagyu, Italian sausage and veal over whipped ricotta, alongside wagyu beef carpaccio and whipped ricotta with warm focaccia. The house-made pastas include campanelle cacio e pepe, four-cheese agnolotti with charred cherry tomatoes and corn cream, and tagliatelle with a veal and pork bolognese. Pizzas run from a margherita to a soppressata with Calabrian honey, and the larger plates include snapper in tomato brodo, Faroe Island salmon and chicken parmigiana.
Executive Chef Owen Lane runs the kitchen, bringing experience from Pastis, Audrey and June. The room pairs an open kitchen and a full bar with a chef's counter and outdoor patios, and dinner runs nightly from 5 p.m., until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Reservations are on OpenTable, and parking in the Vertis garage is validated for two hours.
