Nashville Running Company moved five blocks and brought everything with it

The East Nashville running shop is now at 6 South 14th Street, five blocks from its Woodland Street home, with the Brew Crew runs, the Thursday injury screenings and the pint nights all carried over.

Nashville Running Company has a new home at 6 South 14th Street in East Nashville, five blocks from the Woodland Street house it ran out of from 2018 until this fall. The shop announced the move in early September and opened at the new address on September 24.

The settling-in month started with a Pint Night preview in the new space and gave the neighborhood a new landmark: a green light in the window, because if the green light is on, they're open. The new spot sits across from Chapstick and The Lipstick Lounge.

Everything that made the Woodland shop the center of East Nashville running came along. The Brew Crew still heads out at 6 AM on Fridays, the free Thursday injury screenings with Nashville Physical Therapy are back, and Pint Nights with East Nasty and Black Abbey Brewing have already run twice at the new address. Owner Lee Wilson is a longtime East Nasty member himself, and he told Running Insight the store hit an all-time sales high in 2023, well into its second decade.

The runs leave from 14th Street now, the Thursday screenings and the pint nights are back on the calendar, and the green light over the new door is on. Sixteen years in, the original running store of East Nashville has a new address and the same crowd.
