Leo Vas and Bar Ena make one address into a boutique and a cocktail bar
The clothing boutique opened its first physical store on Mildred Shute Avenue in July, and its adjoining cocktail bar, Bar Ena, completed the pairing on October 11.
Leo Vas is finished arriving. The clothing boutique opened its first brick-and-mortar flagship at 305 Mildred Shute Avenue in Wedgewood-Houston in July, and on October 11 the second half of the address opened: Bar Ena, a cocktail bar adjoining the shop, with the apparel floor flowing into the bar.
The owners are Shivani and Alexandros Darsinos. Leo Vas sells men's and women's apparel, and the Nashville store is the brand's first physical location. Bar Ena takes its name from Ena, the village in Gujarat that Shivani's family comes from, and its drinks list carries a family nod of its own in a cocktail called the Paul Patel.
The pairing is the point. Plenty of bars have a gift corner; this is a local clothing label with a cocktail bar attached, planned as one address from the start. The shop keeps its own site at leovas.com and the bar at bar-ena.com, and together they give the Wedgewood Village end of Mildred Shute Avenue, in the city's art-and-industry district, one of the fall's more interesting stops.
